The Untersberg mountain

In Großgmain and the surrounding area, a walker in search of times gone by stumbles across places of energy, still charged with magic, myths and beliefs. The village of Großgmain lies at the foot of the Untersberg, the mountain shrouded in legend, where the idea of the Holy Roman Empire was born under Charles the Great and which the Dalai Lama still considers to be the magical mountain of central Europe. Besides dozens of legends surrounding Charles the Great, there are stories of churches deep inside the mountain, where High Mass is celebrated at midnight, and reports still abound of caves where time stands still, of places where tired people are charged with energy and healing waters flow.
