Stubenhocken im Salzburger Freilichtmuseum

An atmospheric final Sunday of the season at the Salzburg Open-Air Museum.

As the season draws to a close, the historic houses become welcoming gathering places: “Stubenhocken” invites visitors into traditional parlours to join in, listen, try their hand at crafts and share conversations.

In the Needlework Parlour, visitors can knit and crochet, while stories are shared in the Storytelling Parlour and voices come together in the Singing Parlour.

The Woodcarving Parlour invites you to “Carve Your Own Edelweiss”, while the Dialect Parlour features poems and stories in the local dialect.

In the Rebellion Parlour, a discussion explores topics related to the annual theme, “RISE UP!”

The season’s final event day promises an afternoon filled with encounters, stories and living traditions.
