Candle-Making Workshop – Light Through the Ages
The longing for warmth and light is as old as humanity itself.
Once an essential everyday object, today candles are often reserved for special occasions and moments. But why did candles, as we know them, illuminate only churches and the nobility for centuries? And what did Johann Wolfgang von Goethe mean in the 18th century when he wished for “lights that would burn without needing to be trimmed”?
This workshop not only sheds light on the history of candles but also offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in the art of candle making. From creating the wick to decorating your own candle, you will experience every step of the process together.
